Back to life, back to reality 🎶

So this week sees the return of dance classes. Is it just me or has that been the quickest summer ever? I cannot wait to get back to classes and see the kids do what they do best. I'm still on a major health kick at the minute, so it'll be nice to have classes I enjoy back in my routine lol!

It's also only two weeks until holidays now which is getting me very excited! We also managed to book a lil Christmas trip to warsaw in November which is also very exciting!

Busy, busy summer time madness!!

What a few weeks it has been!!! 

Our annual dance show passed by in a blur of energy, glitter and hairspray - and was absolutely phenomenal! I had the show-blues for a long time, but to be honest, this year I've been far too busy so it didn't keep me down for long lol. 

My hair extension business has exploded the last few weeks which is fantastic. This was something I ventured into in order to help with the mortgage deposit - and I actually feel like we might be getting somewhere. 

The next few weeks I have so much happening: Kies birthday (I have got him the best presents ever!!), commonwealth games opening ceremony, my cousins 21st, commonwealth athletics and badminton finals, an event at the BBC Scotland studios (all will be revealed shortly), bridesmaid dress shopping, further hen doo organising and finally getting to see the killers live!!! I cannot wait for all this to happen 😊 loving life as the kids say. 

After all this, I will defo need my holiday - 6wks to go 😁☀️👙🍹xxxx

Wedding fun!!!

A few weekends back I spent a fabulous time in the Scottish Borders with my gorgeous bride-to-be bestie, Lisa. Being bridesmaid, myself and Lisa's mum (hi Moira!!) spent a lot of time being honest and crying over dresses. It's safe to say, it's been a roller coaster. 

Choosing the right dress is the most important part for any bride. It's traumatic, yet thrilling, and I've been overjoyed to share this experience with my beautiful friend.  We went to several shops, and found a few hidden gems, but are yet to find "the one". 

We also attended a local wedding fayre in Kelso, a small village near to Lisa. The place was absolutely buzzing with wedding fever, with lots of stalls. Lisa managed to get a few little details ironed out, and whilst watching the catwalk show, found a dress she liked. Lisa booked an appointment and went to the shop a few days later with her mum. 

Lisa found the dress of her dreams, and a few ideas for bridesmaid dress shopping also! I can't wait to go back with Michelle (my bridesmaid twin) and Lisa to try on pretty dresses for us. 

Michelle and I are now organising the hen of the century! Exciting times ahead

Summer

Summer ... By far my favourite season!! Nothing beats the warm feeling of the sun beating down on u, painted toenails, maxi dresses, sunglasses and of course that gorgeous smell of tanning oil! Nothing beats a natural tan either. 

This year is "house saving year". Exciting some would say, and my boyfriend and I are very much looking forward to our own home. But we couldn't go without our holiday ... It's our favourite thing to do. This year we are on a major holiday budget so off go santa Ponsa, majorca to a friends apartment. I cannot wait, especially as we are going to head to Palma for a bit - a place very high on my must see list (more on this list another day!!). 

The parents are in Palma nova at the same time, which will be lovely as we can spend a little time with them. My first holiday with parents since 2005. Mental!

Time out ...

Sometimes we all have those moments in life where we just need a break. 5 minutes to ourselves to breathe and collect our thoughts. At the minute, that is exactly what I am doing. Life at the moment is carrying me along at a speed which makes me uncomfortable. Lost in my own head, I needed to take action and slow it down. Make more time for myself, and try to regain some composure again. So for now, I'm looking forward to new beginnings. To finally taking the next step. To improving my self esteem. To be more positive about my future xxx

Valentines day has been and gone already? Where has 2014 disappeared to? It seems the older you get, the faster time flies. Or maybe it's just because I'm having more fun now?? 

Anyways, my boyfriend and I are not really the valentines kinda people, yet every year we still but each other a little treat. And here's my surprise ... 

He really outdone himself and created a collage canvas using some photos from out amazing trip to New York!! I love it, and love the gorgeous flowers too. So lucky to have such a thoughtful guy! I love the sepia colouring, and how it matches another canvas I got made following our amazing Egyptian adventure in 2012.

Once upon a time ...

Blogs have been a secret guilty pleasure of mine for the past 2yrs. I have lost many an hour lost in the world of fashion, beauty, travel and bloggers! It's crazy. Recently, I've been making a few "improvements" in my life, and thought I'd give it a bash myself. 

I'm hoping this is somewhere I can keep my thoughts, opinions and anecdotes of day to day life for me, and let me diarise the variety of life for others to cherish as much as I do! 

And so it begins! Once upon a time ... lil Vonni began her blog .... And who knows what'll happen next!
